Install

Some items don't function until they're installed. To install an installable item, hold the item in your hands and type INSTALL (item). For example, to install a desk, type: INSTALL DESK Installing items in personal residences is always okay. SUSPICIOUS INSTALLS Just because you can install something in a location doesn't mean it's always okay to install it. We advise you to get IC permission from NPCs before installing something on their territory. Never install something in the same room as an NPC without their permission. If you install something in a public room without IC permission, expect it to be scrutinized by any NPCs that may be in charge of that area. If you install something in the same room as an NPC without their permission, expect the install to be retconned and the installed item to be destroyed. UNINSTALLING ITEMS For uninstalling art, see HELP REPAIR. In order to prevent griefing, there's a process to go through for uninstalling items. First, RP the disassembly with a character that has a Repair skill of Good or higher. This can be your character if they meet the Repair skill requirement. The player of the character with the Good Repair skill then submits a service request in the room of the item by typing SERVICE HERE. SERVICE HERE Fill out the service request based on the prompts, and then a Builder will get it handled as time permits. LOADING ITEMS INTO OTHER ITEMS Some items, such as paper sheafs, can be loaded into items that accept paper. To install an item into another item, hold the item you want to install in your hands and type INSTALL (item) IN (item).
