Photography
Using a camera, your character can create photos of their surroundings. To get started, have a camera in your character's hands and type SNAP (photo name). For example, if you want to label a photo 'New Year's Party,' type:
SNAP New Year's Party
The label is written in permanent ink, so be sure to give it a good name!
If you want to include your character in the photo along with everyone else, type SELFIE (photo name).
SELFIE New Year's Party
The photo develops in your inventory. To show it to everyone, either HOLD or DROP the photo. Some objects in the photo may appear blurry. To reduce the number of blurry objects, raise your character's Chronicle skill. You can look at visible characters and items in detail by typing LOOK PHOTO (name or item). For example, if Jane is in the photo, you can see Jane's full description by typing LOOK PHOTO AT JANE.
LOOK PHOTO AT JANE
Photos respect GREET status, so if another character doesn't recognize someone in the photo, they'll see the character's shortdesc. You can identify the characters in a photo for other characters by typing GREET PHOTO.
GREET PHOTO
This is handy for identifying characters without needing to be in their presence.
Film is limited. To add more film to a camera, have a box of film in your character's hands and type INSTALL FILM IN CAMERA.
INSTALL FILM IN CAMERA
Cameras start loaded with 8 photos and can fit another box of film when there are 3 or fewer photos remaining.
If you want to slip a photo under a door, you can type SLIP PHOTO (direction). For example, to slip a photo under a door to the north, type:
SLIP PHOTO NORTH
Take photos of special people, major events, and spooky places! Keep them as personal memories, share embarrassing moments, use them as reconnaissance, or even memorialize characters who are long gone.
