Safety



DEGREES OF SAFETY Because Silent Heaven is a dangerous place, we want to make sure you have the chance to get your character to safety when you need calm time. This is the safety we guarantee at specific locations: Fully Safe – Your character's hotel room. Your character is completely safe from others characters in their hotel room. Nobody can interact your character, nobody else can come in, and nobody can eavesdrop. Mostly Safe – Most private residential locations. Your character is usually safe from other characters in private residential locations. If your character invites other characters in (or opens the door while a stranger is waiting outside), be aware that they can initiate a conflict or otherwise be a miscreant. So, make sure you trust them or have good allies. Eavesdropping is possible, from some angles. Some rare residential locations are insecure, providing no safety. Questionably Safe – Communal sleeping quarters. Some groups in Silent Heaven have their own communal sleeping quarters. The safety of these locations depends on the trustworthiness of others in your character's group. Dangerous – Anywhere else. In public and non-residential private locations, any character may initiate a conflict or follow any other character. Keep in mind that new characters have 14 days of protection from conflicts. This protection is revoked if they perform an aggressive action. Lastly, when you QUIT or otherwise disconnect, your character falls asleep right where they are. In case of being disconnected, you have 30 minutes of idle protection from which nobody can grab or harvest from your character. Sleeping characters cannot be altered in any other way.
