Stealth

By focusing on stealth, your character can hide themself, other people, and other things. To hide, type HIDE. HIDE While hidden, your character can freely move, speak, and use the wind. Noisy or highly-visible actions cannot be done while hiding. These will cause your character to reveal themself automatically. Your character's ability to hide is directly tied to their Stealth skill. To hide better, level up Stealth. Some characters with a high enough Search skill may notice your character hiding or moving around. To stop hiding, type UNHIDE. UNHIDE Everyone in the room will be notified of your character's presence. HIDING OTHER THINGS To hide another character, type HIDE (name). For example, to hide Jane, type: HIDE JANE Hiding someone requires trust. See HELP TRUST for more information. To hide an item, your character must be holding the item in their hands. Then type HIDE (item). For example, to hide a knife, type: HIDE KNIFE Finding hidden people or items is done using SEARCH. Your character might also innately see hidden items if your character's Search skill is high enough. If their Search skill is lower than their Stealth skill, they may have a difficult time finding things they previously hid. See HELP SEARCH for more information.
