Interrupting

INTERRUPTIONS DURING PLAYER-RUN EVENTS Many players choose have their characters host special events that they've prepared for in advance OOC. For example, if a character is singing a song to a crowd or reading a eulogy to a group of mourners, they've likely prepared the poses in advance so that part of the event can go at a reasonable pace. Because of that, here are a few guidelines in order to be courteous enough to allow the player's efforts to not go to waste. Firstly, for event organizers, please begin your prepared poses as close to the beginning of an event as possible. Time afterwards to mingle is usually better than time beforehand. Sometimes, it's advantageous to a character's goals to cause an interruption during an event. For example, if a high-profile cultist is known to be attending the event, it might be the perfect time for an ambush by an opposing faction. When planning an interruption, please wait for any prepared poses to be finished first. It's demotivating when an event organizer's work is abruptly cut short. To be clear, you are absolutely allowed to interrupt events. Just wait until after the prepared poses. Remember, it's more exciting for the bullets to go flying at the end of a performance than the beginning! For events with no poses prepared in advance, you may have your character interrupt at any time. Category: HELP P (Policy) < Previous - Supernatural | Next - Persona >
